True ambassadors of the ocean, dolphins are irresistible!
They spark curiosity and affection. Perhaps you have already imagined what it would be like to be near a dolphin.

The Portuguese coast, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, is an ideal place for dolphin watching. 
Dolphins can be found on the Continent and the archipelagos of the Azores and Madeira, which are sanctuaries for dozens of different species of cetaceans.
In addition to their presence in the Algarve, in the estuary of the Sado river in Setúbal, a few kilometres from Lisbon, a species dolphin known as the "bottlenose dolphin” is regularly sighted. This is where one of the largest communities is.
On the islands, the best time of year to see them is in the summer, especially the spotted dolphin. 
On board of a boat, you can see these wonderful sea creatures before your eyes and, hopefully, some of their abilities.
